i curse sometimes but not throughout my day, probably during the highs or lows...i dont really use it in regular talk, like when i tell someone i'm hungry. Does this have something to do with being excited? like how often do i get excited....if you understand what i'm asking answers are appreciated.

Normally when i hear people curse in mundane everyday speech they also tend to sound animated or at least try to. Would somebody like this be trying to seek attention this way?? Everything is f*n this and f*n that. its kind of too much at a certain point. I personally like to save my cursing for special occasions when i really need it. Ultimately i know its morally better not to curse.

And my question is again is it normal for me to be uncomfortable with cursing in these contexts? Am i being a tight ***?

I think there's a difference between cursing sometimes and cursing in regular talk.

If you tend to curse only when you're really upset, angry or excited about something then it's just a way of relieving the tension. (Then again, sometimes cursing only makes you feel worse but that's a different story)

If someone curses in regular talk, for example if someone tells he is f(...)' hungry, then it's got something to do with the way he presents himself to the people around him.
Some people tend to curse in their every day language because it strengthens the way they want to present themselves to i.e. their friends.

Think of it this way: someone from the government who speaks in public would use rather formal and polite words.
But a rapper in a videoclip would definately not do that, because it doesn't appeal to his audience.

So I think that regular cursing makes them feel more secure about themselves, because it's rather "cool", and it might even transmit the signal of "don't mess with me". It's how they want other people to see them.

EDIT: I don't think it's unusual to feel uncomfortable with public cursing. At least, I feel the same about it. Maybe that's because, if yourself you save up cursing words for special occasions only (like champagne ^^) you tend to think that other persons are very emotional as well when you hear them cursing.
And when you find out that it's just the way they speak in every day language, you've worried about it for nothing because they were not angry/upset/excited at all.

So you'd feel uncomfortable because their language is so "inappropriate" compared to your own. At least I know I would.

I curse under my breath at the terrible things that go on in this world. But in public its not nice in case a child is in hearing distance.Being upset is more like it.
