In my dream, I was on the internet, and somehow, a predator found out enough about me to find me. He kidnapped me and beat me, and when I tried to run, he would hunt me down and hurt me. I tried to wake up, but I was trapped. I tried to defend myself, and managed to knock him out, but he just kept finding me again and again. In my dream, everything was so real, and I felt terrified. I have never felt more afraid before in my life. I woke up in a cold sweat and too scared to move. I have pains in the places where I was "punched". What does my dream mean? Thanks.

Dear Catpaws,
Your dream was merely a reminder of how dangerous the internet can be. Yes, it is very entertaining and I think that most of us "out here" are good people. But, you do have to watch out for the predators. Be sure to always remain anonymous and don't engage in any type of sexual or bizarre conversations. And never, ever provide your personal information. You shouldn't even share your e-mail address with people you don't know. Getting back to your dream, it's just your subconscience telling you to be careful. So, just take your own advice and be safe "out there".
Peace

Violent dreams are relatively common and may be a reflection of the confusion and conflict that the dreamer experiences in daily life. Dreams with violent themes suggest that the dreamer has unconscious negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and anger. If you are not dealing with these feeling consciously, your dreams are compensating and bringing into awareness the need for honest reflection and emotional balance in daily life.

For some reason you are afraid it will be found out who you are and will be punished for it. This is a genuine fear of yours because you feel the pain. My advice is to take steps to empower yourself and be in charge to prevent your dream from becoming real.
