India needs a qualified person no matter which caste he or she belongs.India is a secular country .We respect all caste.Obviously we will accept a sheduled caste person as the Prime Minister of India if he deserves the post.

Why not? Yes. By all means a scheduled caste person can become the PM of India provided he is meeting the requirements as per the constitution if India.
When we had a scheduled caste person as the President of India (Late Dr.K.R.NArayanan) and similarly a scheduled caste person as the present chief justice of India ,Why think negatively about a scheduled caste person becoming the PM of India,if he is found suitable for his job as PM and got elected by his party with majority to rule India?

i don't know y people often talk and worry about thid issue
it is not fact that people belonging to a particular caste should b a pm. but as question arises it becomes a serious task to solve this. as 4 our country is concerned people with a good leadership qualities and with a good education based leader should b able to bring changes.so it is not matter of a person belonging to caste but of more qualities than a caste................

ARE YOU A RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTAL
OR FANATIC?
Your question showers some bias openly as sheduled caste person is inferior to high caste Brahmin/ or high caste people! And challenges the validity for a schedule caste person to become a Prime minister!!
Caste system was imposed one, on those primitive periods in Indian society on the basis of one’s occupation, mostly by the same family hierarchy.
There were four major classes as Brahmanas (Teachers), Vaishyas ( Formers & Traders), Kshatriyas (Warriors) and Sutras (Labourers). Though 90% of the time people followed their professions be birth, there were no such stubborn rules restricted one to change in to other profession.
FOR EXAMPLE “VAALMEEGI” IS A SUTRA BY BIRTH, BUT NO ONE OPPOSED HIS EPIC RAMAYANA, AND LEFT HIM UNRESPECTED EITHER!!
EVEN, VYASAR WAS NOT A BRAMIN AND HE WAS A COWHERD, WHO ONLY WROTE THE EPIC “MAHAA BHARATHAM”!!
THE “SRI RANGAM TEMPLE” WAS CONSTRUCTED BY “THIRUMANGAI AZHVAAR”, ONCE A THIEF AND BY BIRTH SUTRA, WAS NEVER ABANDONED AND LEFT OVER IN VAINAVITE EPICS!!
There are many sutras, or what you call the schedule caste people contributed their life and service for our Nation's growth!
They only built all massive structures, we could see through out our villages and towns, including the beautiful arcitectural temples!
They only cleaned and created all civilization in this country!
Without their service, there would not be any roads, houses and factory buildings!
And there would not be any dresses for us to wear on too!
And varieties of food grains, vegetables, fruits and nuts are their hard work and service rendered in agriculture and transportation only!!
THE THREE MAIN BASIC ELEMENTS
FOR HUMAN BEINGS
ARE BEING PRODUCED
BY THE SO CALLED SUTRAS
ALIAS
SCHDULE CASTE
AND NOT BY HIGH CASTE PEOPLE!
NAMELY: FOOD, CLOTH, AND RESIDENCE!!
The high caste people/ high caste brahmins
are always thinking talking and writing in beautiful words by any language,
but never produced any single food grain, weaved and produced any piece of cloth, excavated and constructed any small thatched house by themselves!!
Poor people and poor minds!!
But, thinking they are the only genius people by all means!!
OK! LET US PUT ASIDE ALL THOSE THINGS!
MY BASIC QUESTION IS
WHAT IS CASTE?
AND IS THERE ANY BIOLOGICAL LABEL
OR ENCRYPTION
COULD BE FOUND
IN THE BLOOD OF INDIAN PEOPLE
TO ENSURE THAT
THIS PARTICULAR SPECIMEN BELONGS TO BRAHMIN’S OR SUTRA’S?
A MONKEY IS A MONKEY
AND A MAN IS A MAN!
If you put one label as ‘donkey’,
on monkey’s back
the monkey is not going to be a donkey ever!
Just like that,
for a convenience sake
if any man/ group were labeled as Sutras
for a time being,
the same is not going to be
the “biological eternal” but only transitory!!
Any body can change his job/ work at any time!!
A labour can become a trader,
the trader can quit his job
and join in army as a warrior,
and a warrior may turn as a teacher
in the course of time!!
And all these things can go in reverse too!!
ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING!!
IF A SUTRA AND BRAHMIN
LOVED, MARRIED AND
GIVEN BIRTH TO A CHILD,
WHAT WILL BE
THE CASTE
OF THE CHILD NOW?
AND THAT CHILD GROWS OLD,
LOVED AND MARRIED
TO ANOTHER CROSS-CASTE FIANCE,
GIVING BIRTH TO A CHILD NOW,
AND WHAT SHALL BE THE CASTE NAME FOR THE NEW-BORN BABY?
THESE ARE ALL RUBBISH THINGS!
AND PEOPLE SAYS,
IN THESE LIKE SITUATIONS ONLY
THE MALE COUNTER PARTS
ARE TAKEN IN TO ACCOUNT
WHILE DETERMINING THE CASTE NAME AND NEVER THROUGH THE FEMALE!!
IF IT IS THE CASE,
WILL THE MODERN WOMEN
ACCEPT THE ABOVE CONCEPT,
THAT ONLY MEN ARE ALWAYS SUPERIOR THAN WOMEN,
AND THEIR HUSBAND’S CASTE NAME ONLY SHALL BE TAKEN FOR DETERMINING
THE CASTE OF THEIR CHILDREN’S?
SEE! THESE ARE FOOLISHNESS INDEED!!
YES, CASTE IS
BIOLOGICALLY,
AND
LOGICALLY TOO
THE MOST ILLOGICAL AND
INESSENTIAL SYSTEM
FOR THESE MODERN “INTER-NET”(via)
LOVING & WEDDING DAYS!!
