Get "outside" yourself and start thinking of the other person. The more you concentrate on yourself the more you think that everyone is looking at you and thinking there is something about you to laugh at. Believe me, most people don't spend their time thinking about you and what you are doing.
If you are old enough volunteer at a place where you can help others, such as a hospital, nursing home, or other charity. If you don't think you can handle all the people at first then try helping out at an animal shelter or animal rehabilitation organization. Even if you work with animals you will have to do it in conjunction with other humans. This would be a great way to start thinking about others.

Well, really there's nothing for it but to do it. Just do it. That will wear away the fear, but not until you've felt all the fear there is to feel. Sorry to say. It's not rational, so reasoning won't help - just have to do it.

start talking about some little things that you are not afraid to tell and then little by little you'll see there's nothing to be worried about.
