Don't worry, when I think of the future and college I freak out, I can go into my room and stay in there for hours at a time being scared. But I find if I enjoy life now then the fear of death and growing old goes away.

FORGET ABOUT IT!

I know the feeling. The thing I dread most is waking up at 57 and thinking to myself "What the F_ck? Why didn't you do all of what you are capable of?"

So I think the solution is to set a definite goal, and to consciously make steps towards that goal every day.

Personally I've decided that I would like to be a billionaire. Today I woke up, went to the gym, cleaned up, got drunk, watched a movie, and checked my email - now here i am.

The future doesn't look bright.

If you are worried about missing out make sure you make every single day count. Always do something everyday that you have always wanted to do.

Make a list of all the things you want to do in your life and go out and cross them off the list.

Never sit around and say " I wonder....." just DO IT!!

All the best

Yes, it is normal to fear that. It is a frightening thing. How to stop it? Love. It's not rational, I know, but love just makes a lot of fears just shut up. It doesn't speak to the underlying problems, they're still there, but it makes the terror just shut up. laughs - oh well! Better than having the problems AND the terror, I guess.

the only way to combat your fear is to face it. if you live your life in fear, you will not learn the life lessons that will take you to that fulfillment you talk about. life does go fast, slow yourself down and enjoy each and every day. look for miracles in your daily life. believe in yourself and do what's right. hold your head up high and enjoy your life.

Hmm . . . If you are really, truly agonizing over this, then you deserve even more than help from Yahoo Answers, you deserve the help of a therapist to sort this out. Best wishes.

That's perfectly normal. We all have fears, but your life may be successful and fullfilled, so it's pretty normal.

Make a plan, and write it down.
Check off your accomplishments.
Enjoy life, and don't sweat the small stuff.
