If the IRA kidnapped two British Soldiers, instead of Hizbolla kidnapping two israeli soldiers and the British retaliated by bombing Dublin International Airport, all the major road, sea and rail links out of Ireland, the petrol stations and the energy plants, and then targets in residential areas, Britain would have been internationally condemned for a unilateral declaration of war and of gross breaches of International law. What makes Israel any different?

I was borne in the US but raised in South-America, I lived in Miami-Florida for seven years, before that, I lived in south America and recently move out of Florida for good to the UK, and now I look back to these past 7 years and even though I did my professional career there, I felt it was the 7 worst years of my live (social wise), because of this capitalistic systems I did not have many friends, everybody was busy, did not have a real girlfriend cause I did not have money to show and people saw me like I was a rat because I was poor “the more you have, the more you are” . And in the US, you can not pursued a university degree unless you come from a very wealthy family or live in debt for the rest of your life and if you become sick, you either have to have an insurance (very expensive if not paid by employer) or lived in debt for the rest of your live.

A person states " I'm nervous ", I'm scared ", I'm sad, worried or angry " etc. . .

The reply heard is usually . . . "Don't be nervous (angry, worried, scared, sad etc.)...be strong instead (or happy, don't worry etc.)

The word " Don't " comes up as stating ' don't ' or ' stop ' feeling your very real felt emotion.

A person's feelings are very real and valid. Why not instead validate the other persons very real feelings, embrace that person either figuretively or literally allowing them their feelings all the while guiding that person to a brighter / more positive outcome of the event that is / was causing them their offsetting emotion ?

This in relation to an emotion felt for a few hours or days...not weeks or years on end.

Thoughts ?

I am always stressed out. I went into Home Depot and asked a middle-aged, wrinkled, cashier woman for help. She cracked a bad joke and began laughing up a storm. She had a genuine smile on her face, which revealed that half of her teeth were missing. I passed her again on my way out and she was laughing and smiling with another customer. She seemed full of joy! I would trade any and all intellect/knowledge and all the teeth I have for this kind of joy. Does anyone else agree that such a sacrifice would be worth it?

Even after being forgiven how do you forgive yourself, and accept what happened and what people think about you, even if they dont know the whole truth about you or what happened.

I have often heard this being said to many people. It sounds to me like this remark is still an insult to a person's intelligence, though.

I'm wondering when you think someone can be called an adult or 'grown-up' , whether it's a certain age, or after you've had certain experiences. And what age are you, do you consider yourself to be an adult?

I am glad we were for a very few reasons, but now it seems it may have caused more problems than it was worth......I am on the fence about it what do you think? I am stil very proud of what the women of that generation done for us, but sometime I get angry when I look at how backwards the world is today due to role reversal...
