well im 17, i used to be really outgoing back in middle schools years since i started high school i got really quiet and talk very low, and every yr that i passed in high its just been getting worse, now im a junior, and i just want get this wall that i have in front of me out because it wont be good to be shy for my whole life, but when i try to overcome it, its just a hard thing to do, im always afraid of making a fool of myself, and ppl have a hard time talking to me because i normally start talking in a low voice and hey cant hear me. I'm not an that of an Unsocial person at all, i talk more when i start feeling confortable with the person i talk to, but it takes some time for that to happen. so for ppl that actually beated it...was it hard ?

As there are more women and kids at the games these days, has the noise and atmosphere declined?

I'm a 24 y/o, top 2-3% testing IQ range, lackluster life accomplishments, nothing to show, minor tics plagued social character.

So, to sum that up, I've had a scapegoat all my life (minor tics), and have had the potential on top of that to succeed. Yet I find myself continually stymied by a lack of drive, perhaps lack of character in certain aspects, and perhaps some sort of social phobia.

Anyway, whatever. I'm not overly concerned about it.. However, I am slated to join the Coast Guard in 3 months, and I am open to alternatives to that situation.

My car is a POS, I've little fluid financial freedom, and am either lazy or scared to work hard. I seek advice, input and constructive criticism..

Note: Work harder you lazy a*s is not considered as the forementioned constructive criticism, so save it. =D

Thanks!

Think that's true?

Is it? Because very often and out of nowhere I get a sense saying "you done this before remember" or if a thought comes up and I feel like I thought it before but I never really did and in dreams I feel like that actually happened to me once but I just can't remember the whole thing. Is it actually possible to remember small parts of the past life of one? This all happens to me very often and it's unpredictable when it happens, because out of nowhere it just happens...

Sometimes while I dream I have the lucidity to want to make decisions -- fly, for example. Except that when I try to fly or do something else I can't -- I am completely unable to control what's happening. Why?

1) Someone who smiles in you face, but doesn't really like you.
What word is there for this kind of person or what is the word for the behavior?

2) Someone who indirectly is offending you (on purpose).

All because they don't really like you, but they just don't want you to know it.

What are the words for either the behavior or the label of the person who exhibits the above?

To me it's a given. It's as simple as a child petiing or playing with a dog or cat, or best friends of any age spending all their free time together, having a million laughs. You love to play the guitar, so you play as ofetn as you can. You love someone or something, it's obvious. You show it because its what you feel. It comes naturally. Do you believe that there are really people who love without the ability to show it, as in a wife who "loves" her husband yet never initiates affection, never shows excitement at his presence, never smiles when they spend time together, etc.? In short, are they incapable of showing love or, if love is a verb, of loving altogether?
