Do the people who spend all their time in this fantasy world do it because they struggle at living in the real world?

He would spend everything we had if he had control of the checking account. This year he has spent about $1,000 in one month without knowing what he really bought. I feel badly about being so hard on him about money. But i am constantly afraid that he will spend foolishly and we will be short when it's time to pay bills. How do I let myself trust him again?

I am going to major in anthropology (I am leaning towards cultural but I would also like to have a good physical backgroud too) after I am done with my gen ed at my local CC. Does anyone know of some schools in CA that have good anthro programs? I have been considering UCSB and UCSC, does anyone know about their programs, or is there any other places you would suggest checking out in CA? My long term goal is a phd. Thanks!

I was watching a documentary on the history channel and they mentioned this possibility. Computers have been getting increasingly more sophisticated over the years. Will they eventually become so intelligent that they will realize they can rule over?

Is it a learned behavior? Is it neurological? Is it Psychiatric?

I believe it could be treated with cognitive therapy, positive Re-enforcement, group therapy, and in some cases medication.
Any thoughts on treating this disorder?

Do we live in a modern renaissance? Do you celebrate comfortable living? Is the world going bad? Should we live as we lived in the past? Is it a good time for humanity?

Most young girls I see (I am in my mid-20s) nowadays are very badly messed up in that they watch all these reality shows and want a guy to be all those things...yet these girls are also jaded as a result of coming from dysfunctional families, often having sex with too many guys at a young age, getting paranoid from seeing all these anorexic "hot" girls on tv etc...

They are so messed up that is seems like they are incable of falling in love. They also refuse to cook or to be more family oriented, have a lot of anxiety and depression, and are more and more jealous of other women.

Guys are also messed up, but in very very different ways.

Do people still fall in "true love" and stop thinking about themselves?

Or any other suicidal person. I can sit here and tell you why it's a retarded idea for most *your kid wants to die, let's take away everything they have to live for. THAT MAKES SENSE!*

But, aside from the "24/7" monitoring *which is crap, been there, lots of times when the kid is left alone* what would be a good reason to take everything they care about, from the ability to go to someone they trust for help, to the indaviduality they care about so much?

Prove to me why you think complete isolation will make anyone feel better.

I use to love smoking weed. After a long stressful day there was nothing like a nice joint or pipe. I loved the head change and the relaxation from it. Then after experimenting with a few different types of drugs every time I tried smoking weed again I got parranoid, couldn't relax, and it gave me anxiety. Just wish it could be like it use to be.
