I have studied mental illness and worked in the field. Yet when I compare so called "patients" to the general public, I often see little difference. In fact, it often seems that in the mainstream, those who are mentally ill are often the most successful and in charge of things. Of course this is not always true but often is. And another question is what is being mentally healthy? And do you know others that are mentally healthy? What is their life like?

Possibly from my view we attract based on our maturity and where we are in our 'life's journey'. Searching for a soulmate, I think ,is fear based really and not really a fun way to live to fear that one has lost 'the one' or missed them, etc…

I used to feel scared to breathe. Since I made the wrong choice in a husband. I realized my husband is not my soulmate.

I absolutely trust life in all its totality now. I do not experience fear even in what we could call a very challenging situation, I have become fearless in the past few months...

Fear is a body-emotions response. A fear of one's feelings being hurt, or fear of the body being harmed. When the Soul is Awakened then one knows the truth and is no longer fearful.

I would like to hear your thoughts...now If I get too many insults I will go back the jokes& riddles Q&A...LOL

People rarely believe me when I say that I have no friends.

Good friends I used to have all moved far away, immediately after graduation. Some went into the military, others went off to college and ended up getting married, having kids, careers, etc. That's just life. People drift apart.

I don't have any friends at all. I haven't for a long time. I have some acquaintances, but that's as far as it goes. I don't have anyone I can call up and chit chat or hang out with or anything like that. It's very difficult to meet new people.

Why is this so difficult for people to believe? Is it that unusual?

This is not something I want, it just seems inevitable. Our dollar is getting weaker and weaker, thanks too the constant "monetizing" of our massive debt (which grows by $1 BILLION/day) among other things. Right now the Chinese yuan is tied to the US dollar, so right now, it is good for the Chinese to import the $3 pack of tube socks to Wal-mart...but what happens when they let that yuan float on it's own...they'll do it, but when? If they were to do that, then we are at their absolute mercy and they can charge us anything they want for those tube socks (or food, clothing, EVERYTHING) because we do not have the manufacturing capabilities to support our population...we've shipped all those jobs overseas and torn down the factories. What are we going to do then? And is anybody else worried about it besides me?

I was walking home today and a half block ahead of me was a person of indeterminate gender - wearing a crazy long stocking cap and red and orange striped mitts. I was idly wondering, is that a guy or a gal and my eyes rested on their butt as I thought it might give me a clue. I was staring, but for purely scientific reasons! And then he (it turned out it was a he) turns around and stares right back at me. How did he know I was back there staring?

We had a paper in sociology, in that I got 44(aggregate) marks. My classmate got 45. (Both of us were competing for class first) After two days when I verified I found that she was mistakenly given few marks. So I called up her and said that she was given as such. But she irritated me by telling that she doesn’t know anything as an innocent girl. So I ringed up my professor to enquire how he calculated the marks and told him that the calculation was different for me and her. He inquired into it and agreed with me and he reduced her marks. Thus starts the problem. After this my classmate won’t speak with me. She irritates me as if I have done a mistake. Tell me did I do any mistake? I want to keep a full stop for this problem. Give me a solution. Please help me.

I am a grad student, but took a long break in school to work for a while. I am constantly at awe with how naive and idealistic some of my classmates are. They usually are younger and work on campus. How can anyone who is so educated be so naive to the world? Many of them seriously think they know how to fix all of society's ills and are on a quest to apply their "superior" knowledge. I am not bagging on all of academia (I am a part of it as a student), but there seems to be a portion of it that is this way. What do you think?

i'm a teenager, and i have certain personal problems in my life. sometimes i enter moods that make me feel like all i want to do is just runaway or spend the next 2 hours all alone. at summer, i used to wake up very early and just walk the entire beach line and come back. while im walking, i can't stop thinking about my life and what i would have done if i lived my life once more. i don't know if this is good or not, if this will help me learn from my mistakes, or make me less-confident. i cant resist the beach without promising myself to wake up the next morning and walk it end to end. sometimes i wish someone was there to talk to me while i walked, sometimes i just stick to my iPod, and sometimes i wish i would have my hours for only me and the beach.my cousins keep asking me whats wrong, but the truth is, i don't know. and in this position i think about it, and i find millions of answers that somehow dont fit. is this depression?or is it lonliness? or stress? or just pure rebelness?

In other shows men can sleep around and not be considered a dirty manwhore, but in SATC women sleep around and they are considered to be sluts? That doesn't make sense.

Men brand women who practise the same lifestyle as them (having one night stands, hooking up) "sluts" only because they want to control women and ensure that gender inequalities will ALWAYS exist!

If Samantha is a sIut, then so are many men. I say Samantha is the unusual role model for women - she is assertive, confident and comfortable with her sexuality! I am not telling women to behave like Samantha but you have to look at her as the bold example of what women can achieve if patriarchy do not exist in our society.

Plus she has the hottest boyfriend in the show!

SATC is all about empowerment of women. In shows women are treated as objects, SATC only even things out by having the women talk about men and their penises.

That's why many women love SATC and Samantha is such a cool character.
