Someone once said to me (in a particular context) - "it is what it is". No point spending loads of emotional energy mourning what I wanted it to be but it wasn't - just accept it for what it is and get on with it. Changed my entire outlook. What are the wisest words you've ever received?

i am very afraid of opossums...dead,alive,and or faking...i cannot watch certain movies -i.e. dr. doolittle..texas chainsaw...over the hedge....i cannot drive in certain areas after dark where they may be some one dominate in the area...and i love to go camping but havent since i manifested this phobia...its been over 3 or 4 years now...it started as a few bad dreams...and now i am petrified...any thoughts or suggestions or perhaps your own strange phobias?

The effect of nurture is wellknown. But along with nurture the gene has an important role to play. But the fashion today is to oppose eugenics blindly. Eugenics can alleviate suffering. It does not create homzygosity. It is not against nature. Actually what is against nature is the present mode of reproduction.

Let's assume I'm an adult who finished high school, but for whatever reason (maybe I have a child, or I'm working three jobs, or I can't afford it) I never went to college. Also, let's assume I have no assets and no savings, I'm living in an apartment and I don't have any particular skills or abilities. If I were to look for a job, what are my chances of finding something above minimum wage? What is the highest wage/salary I could possibly hope for, if I began an entry level? What are my chances for promotion? If I were earning a minimum wage salary, and I didn't spend money on superfluous things (entertainment), would I be able to survive? Save money? Would my chances be affected if I were a minority? A female?

Does anyone know what it means if you continue to have nightmares? I keep having dreams of almost dying or someone trying to kill me. It is really concerning me because I do not have these thoughts while I am awake. It really scares me because I do not know why or what it means?

I go through school and graduate, but when I leave I have no money for college. What are my chances of procuring a scholarship and/or loan? Assuming I procure a loan, what are the chances that I will be able to get a job that affords me paying it back in time to accumulate some savings of my own? Assuming I am able to get a job, how long (on average) would it take me to pay back that loan?

My bf abused me in june coz he saw me dancing with another guy. He broke up n told me im a cheap gurl along with abuses . then he stopped contacting me. But after a month he started contacting through text mesgs. Again not very pleasant mesgs. but now on 14th nov he again abused me as he kept asking me through text mesgs if i had gone on a date with another guy. But i kept silent and he again abused me through mesgs tht im a prosti**te. He told me he wants to slap me n abuse me . I think theres something wrong. I don't get caught up in the latest fashons, makeup etc; I prefer to be on my own, and am not interested in relationships in the slightest. Everything appears so superficial to me. My outlook is to the greater future. Is this wrong? I'm just hoping Im not the only one that feels this way.

Sometimes I speak loud while being alone and I am saying repetitive nonsenses about real people, .
All is related to a period in my life when I was lived in a big tension, I survived a 10 days revolution with gunshots. (16 years ago )
During speaking i enter in state of agitation, i shake hands that i have for longer time.

At the moment I am deciding on between 3 different places, and they all have there pro's and con's as most things do. Wherever I decide dosn't affect my work etc as I am a student and wherever I choose I will be doing the same course. I am single so I really only have to please myself.....

Because I can't possible see into the future, I can't possibly know which option to take, as I don't know how each one will work out. Whichever option I choose I will be gaining something and losing something else. My head just spins, and spins when I am deciding on things like this. Normally in the end I am forced to make a decision because of the time factor. But for every major decision like this that i make , i seem to always go through months of head spinning trying to work out which option would be best-which for me is virtually impossible.
