I always considered my grandfather a very wise man. He was somewhere between a Mark Twain and a Will Rogers. He had many wise sayings that I remember but the one I remember most was, "The grass may look greener on the other side of the fence, but you can bet the water bill's higher."
Years later what I understood him to mean was that before you decide to make any change in life because the "grass looks greener," make sure you can afford the "water bill."

there is not any longer one unmarried element out of Jesus in the entire Roman list - it is ideal - no longer one!!! at the same time as he became meant to were round there have been distinct Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are properly recorded!! He became meant to were a huge concern to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles yet nonetheless no longer one modern-day list? Even the bible mentions of him like countless different references were no longer written till many years after his meant lack of life!! Pilot is recorded in the Roman list as a extremely lack luster guy yet no element out of a Jesus, a tribulation or crucifixion that could really were used to make him look brighter!! At best he became an amalgam of those others!!

Give a person a fair days work for a fair days pay. My Dad told me this when I first entered the job market years ago. It's helped me get by in even the worst jobs.

After someone had hurt me very badly my dad saw that the anger and hate I had inside for this person was tearing me up inside...even worse than what had happened to me. He sat me down one day and told me what he saw happening to me and that it was tearing him up too to see me like that. He first explained to me that hating someone is a wasted effort because when you do either that person doesn't know or they don't care that you hate them. He also told me that God didn't want me to inflict that kind of pain on myself and to just hand it over to Him and He would take care of it. It has been a piece of advice that has saved me from being a misrable person. I went through a lot in my teens and 20's that I could have just ended up being a big mass of hate but because I aways remember what my dad said to me I am able to just hand my anger over to God and start the forgiving process.

dunno.. "dog that barks never bites" meaning the most danger lies with the silent ones. It applies to people and governements.
The brit government shows terrible ads on TV about "the computer knowing when you don't pay the TV licence and there's no escape" this means you are totally safe in not getting one, if they did then they would say nothing, save in advertizing and rake 20 times the tv money in fines. ..

Someone who minds a windscreen repair center once told me :"True victory is to give all of yourself, without regret."
Groovy, isn't it?
