I have a friend who I think suffers from an attention seeking disorder. Shes 19 - and I'm not sure if it is a different term for adults or not.

I'm wondering about whether I am right in thinking this. She suffers from depression and she has a new problem where she faints constantly for no apparent reason. She has been in the hospital for it a few time and been sent home with no answers. They don't know whats wrong with her.

Is it possible to subconciously make yourself faint? Can attention seeking become this bad that you can give yourself illnesses like this. I know I might be a bad friend to think it could be attention seeking but it always seems to happen when she's having a bad night or she's doing something she doesn't want to do or around someone she doesn't like.

I really need to know what it could be? And how to help her.

She has tried to commit suicide a few times, and I am always the one who has to pick up the pieces. The pressure of it all is making ME ill.

I don't deny that their are issues of gender inequality - on both sides. But what bothers you the most and why? Can something be done to solve that problem? Should it be solved?

What should I include in my speech on boredom? I know I'm going to end it with, "Nothing is boring, there are only boring people." Tell me your experience with the subject. A funny sanario would be good to put in too.

I like to improve my practical knowledge. ie.. the knowledge, that I put in practice. So, in any thing in my life, I can put more and more practical knowledge in any act or decision or even thinking.

...Society (in Britain) will warmly cheer a woman who takes on a man's world (be it pick-'n'-choose or the extreme variety), and succeeds - but will express cynicism and suspicion if a male 'strays' into what used to be a 'woman's world'. He will be seen as a 'loser' - and to some (in the times we're in, in the UK) with 'paedophiliac tendencies' if he can expertly keep the bairns happy and well behaved.
Men's position in life seems to be eroding while women can 'do it all' - is this what Germaine Greer, et al. yearned for in 1971, or perhaps the compass has gone well over to the other side?

I think that when we are alone, we can't distingush what's real. I believe that only when there is another person present that reality is established.

Okay, so i'm afraid of being in the dark specifically because i can't see what's right in front of me, but i regularly sleep with a blindfold on (& it's not to keep out the light--'cause i sleep w/ a very small nightlight on), & being blinded gives me a sense of safety & security. Why would not being able to see give me comfort if i'm actually afraid of not being able to see?
