It all depends on you. I learned to laugh with people to the point where they didnt' laugh anymore because they saw it had no effect on me. People mock you because they want to see what makes you tick. If you ignore it, it goes away. Just laugh with them. Imagine if no one is paying attention to you, then you would stress out about that too.

You are affected in life by what you let affect you. Forget other people and their opinions and take your life in the direction that gives you the most pride. Remember that there is a God, however you want to understand Him, and that He always wants the best for you. Have faith and thank Him daily and He will guide you through life with a minimum of effort on your part. Be independent of thought and action, through this will you find self esteem. Your esteem is in pride of yourself, not what others determine you should be proud of.

Hooked on fonicks really werked for u I see. All kidding aside though. People pick at you because you let them. Bullies pick on people to get a reaction from them. If they get no reaction, they will get bored and go "bother" someone else. It may be hard to ignore at times, but this is your best strategy. It won't take long for them to realize you don't care anymore and get bored. ALSO, and this IS A FACT. people who pick on others have LOW self-esteem themselves and they pick at others to boost theirs. Keep this in mind when they start picking at you too. You can do anything in life you want to do. NEVER let anyone tell you that you can't. Your only obstacle in life is YOU. Figure out what you want to do, or be when you graduate school (skool). and DO IT.

it all depends -- IF you let it affect you (and remember, these are just words of another -- and ones who DO have their own self-esteem issues (since they are making comments to you!)) then that is YOUR CHOICE ....
But the TRUE measure of Responsible Self-Esteem is the FACT that you DO NOT let their words hurt you -- and walk away -- KNOWING that you can confidently overcome anything life throws in your path -- and words are just words in this case.
YOUR emotional state is determined by how you view life -- and if you love yourself enough to go to school, do your own homework, enjoy your friendships with others that are kind to you -- then you are quite healthy and confident -- and will NEVER let the harsh remarks of another affect your happiness.

Man I am glaaaaaaad I grew up before all this STUPID Columbine & all that other BS that seems to be going on. I am only 37 but damn. When we were joked about we didn't go on a killing rampage. We took it in stride. (I was a joker & jokee) But today, "kids" get their way with everything. And then when something does happen, the PARENTS blame everyone but themselves. Tell ya what. If ya get too stressed, talk to your Parents. They can help. (Hopefully they give a **** enough to not let anything happen.)

Makes you stronger and more apt to succeed at anything you will try when you get out of school. School is not the real world. Get a good education and then go for it in business or whatever you wish to do.
