I'm wondering what other birds crow at dawn besides a rosster. Because we are hearing a bird every morning at dawn but it doesn't sound like a rooster. Also to Peacock's crow at dawn?

Saw this spider in the North Island of New Zealand, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it?
It seemes to make a hissing noise when the picture was being taken.

Hi, I have a degree that's totally unrelated (Archaeology), and I'm now 22 in a full-time job.

But all of a sudden, and I don't know why, I've become reeeeeally fascinated by animal behaviour, spefically how they react to their environment and the level of their self-awareness. I don't know why this is, as it literally came about whilst I was observing my cats and it's lit a fire in my belly.

What's a good place for me to start researching as a beginner? Are there any relevant publications/ weeklies? Can you do serious, scientific courses in to animal behaviour? Where abouts in the UK is renowned for this, and could I go straight in at postgrad level with some background reading?

Thanks!

We are doing a project/debate on the topic "That animals should not be caged in zoos for human entertainment." We are on the negative side. We are asking you to give your honest opinion on this question. We are going to look at the answers that you give us and then look at the majority at the answers and use them in our debate.

Thanks if you answer this.

2 of each species, right? Assume they have a little space and are not totally jammed in, how big an Ark would Noah have had to build? Also assume that there is no need for food or water storage etc. Just the animals.
