Tell you what, why dont we replace the deer with you. That way after the fight we would not have to hear any more stupid questions.

The deer.
Due to impossibility of shark.
"Its a hot day here on the coast of the Atlantic ocean. A fine, fine, day for a tussle.
We zoom in now to the location of the hunt.
The deer is a short distance away from the blue ocean water, and slowly decides to creep up and stand on the shore line for a sip of water.
The waves are coming in now, and a shark follows behind them.
The deer takes one sip from the ocean and realizes the water is nasty salty.
And fleets away.
Sadly this meeting of the masses is over.
Wait, wait, there is some action, the shark jumps out of the ocean.
And now is on the beach.
At realizing it can not breathe, it crawls back into the water.
Good try sharky.
But the deer has not noticed you at all. In fact, the deer is laughing it up, with his gangster pals."

The deer would stomp on the shark's pointy head while it thrashed around on the ground gasping for oxygen.

Depends on the environment. Are they in more than 3 feet of water or on dry land? In outer space no one would win.
