how about cockroaches can live up to seven days at least without a head, which is really nasty.Cockroaches have been shown to exhibit emergent behavior .

Research being conducted at the University of Florida shows that cockroaches leave chemical trails in their feces. Other cockroaches will follow these trails to discover sources of food, water, and where other cockroaches are hiding.

I'm curious to know just how bad the cockroach problem in Hawaii really is. Does the average apartment have them? How often do you see them around? Is it a daily battle or is it just the occasional one here and there? How hard is it to control them?

They were all just sitting there. This shopping center is pretty much abandoned other than a Walgreens. It was around 9am and I have never seen that. I have seen geese flying around parking lots, and I have seen lots of other birds in parking lots, but never ducks who were literally just sitting and there were so so so many of them. It was really kind of cute to see. They looked like they do in the water, but I could see the rest of their body.

Also, the Hudson River is probably 8 - 10 miles from this shopping center, so I don't know what water area they were coming from nor why they left. Could it be the cold. The river has been freezing in spots, but aren't they supposed to fly south or something like that. We had a snow storm here today, could them being there have something to do with that?

Any duck experts out there have information on this. Can the poor duckies survive the cold?

Does anyone know what could cause this? Is this natural in elephants? I´d hate to think that they were victims of abuse and they were crying!

When we humans eat fish we have to take out the bones or we choke on them, not to mention it would hurt swallowing the prickly bones. What about bears and other animals in the wild. Do they swallow the fish whole and just let the bones and all digest in their stomach?

I bought a packet of 6 dinosaurs and two of them I don't know the name. I've been looking everywhere on the net for a list of dinosaurs & their name, but it's not easy.

The two I can't name - one looks kinda like a triceratops without the horns, the other looks like a komodo dragon, with a large sail on its back?

any ideas?
