This is called symbiosis. You already have a general definition.

Symbiotic organisms cannot live without some other organism. True symbiosis is when two organisms totally depend on each other. One cannot live without the other.

Often, false symbiosis is seen in nature. This is when one organism is completely dependent on some other organism. But, the second organims is not dependent on the first one. This is a lot like parasitism. But not the same.

There is another completely different answer to your question. Organisms live in communities. These communities (ants, bees, and termites live in huge colonies). Without the entire community effort, the whole community (or colony) would probably perish. Usually, there is a queen, and all other individuals work to keep her nourished, safe, and dry, as well as protect the colony in general. These organisms do not work alone. They work together and keep the colony strong.

Symbiosis - The act of two animals sharing a habitat/living off one another for the mutual benefit of both species.

I.E. The clownfish and the sea anemone. The clownfish draws food in for the anemone and also keeps it clean by eating parasites from its tentacles. The anemone keeps the clownfish from being eaten by bigger fish by stinging predators with their tentacles. Both animals benefit from this relationship.
