I always wonder whether what I as a human consider a beautiful cat, dog, panda, etc. would be considered beautiful by other cats, dogs, or pandas. I also wonder how other mammals would define attractive--is is all smell, or is it something else?

I was hoping someone here would have an idea, or lead me to a book, or something.

the spider in question looks quite alot like a black widow with out the red hourglass spot on the belly. It is totally all a shiny black color it has 4long legs on either side of the body, with what looks like 2 walrus tusks on the front of the face. It is aprox. 1/2inch in length. I reside in the high desert of Southern California(Yucca Valley) and i found this creature lurking on the wall by my doorbell at the front door. My door faces the east. I found it around 2pmm pst. If this helps with my question.i would like to get info and pictures if possible. It is not a black widow.

Water is made of Hydrogen and Oxygen (H2O). Fish have a natural way of extracting oxygen from water using their gills. They seem to do this without expending much energy. If the oxygen is extracted from water this would leave the hydrogen. The hydrogen can then be burned in the oxygen creating energy and harmless byproduct - water. Then the cycle can be repeated.

So logically it should be possible to manufacture some artificial gills (probably using meta-materials) to to split oxygen and hydrogen to produce energy. With enough research this could be done on an industrial scale.

Hence, crisis solved! Who's with me? Any (nay sayers) see any possible problems with this?
