Someone posted this and others made fun of it, so she withdrew the question!!!! I thought it was brilliant. The people who made fun of it have no imagination and should have been reported as abusers and removed.

When she was younger my friend's dad told her that the farmer used to herd his cows across a mile of open sea off the coast of Ireland to graze on an island there. Seems implausible to me but she is adamant. What do you think?

I saw a largeish bird in my garden this morning, digging in one of my pots for worms or something. It looked like a pigeon and yet not quite like a pigeon: I think it was a bit larger. It was a light muddy brown colour, with a "collar" which I think was white, and other markings on its head. It also had some markings on its tail, the most noticeable of which was a bright blue flash. Was it a pigeon, or something else?

I am reffereing to the Astacidean phylogeny in the context of Martin & Davis (2001) which includes the Superfamilies:

Astacoidea
Parastacoidea
Nephropoidea
Enoplometopoidea
Glypheoidea

I would really like to know if these are still included in the infraorder, and if not, why not?

Must live naturally in the same area, now or in the recent past.

Tiger, tiger burning bright
In the darkness of the night

Oh dear! he is dead.
Something has kileld him!

Not humans with guns and bows and arrows do not count.

Not disease vectors either.

This is a repeat question as I liked the answers!

Or other organism (excluding humans) or even a fossil.

I was thinking of what organism you would put on a sign, symbol, flag, stamp, coaster etc. to represent the wildlife of your region.

Specify where you live, of course.
