It has never been proven that the snake and Eve actually held a conversation as claimed in the Bible.

They're controversial because some people fear them and others worship them. Different reasons for these beliefs, some religious, some historical. Some folks feel they are necessary to keep a balance in nature... they kill rodents and pests. Others don't care for them because some are poisonous.

No eyelids, no external ear, no middle ear, no forelimbs, no hind limbs, no girdles, parotid gland modified as poison gland, fang on premaxilla or maxilla is a hollow tooth(like hypodermal needle) or with glyphs.Skull bones associated with jaws have ligaments that can be stretched to make the mouth swallow large prey.

They are not controversial,but unique in certain aspects.
No legs,no ears
Seen both in land and water(fresh water &,sea)
Some in the land and most in the sea are poisonous(with fangs and poison sacs)
most lay eggs,some have litter

controversial because:
1-they're reptiles, yet they don't have legs
2-they're considered lethal, yet it's a pharmaceutical emblem
3-they're ones of few animals that don't jave an actual voice, yet adam and eve's story state that its voice was the devil's
4-they don't hae ears, yet they are one of the best "motion hunters"

true.. in many ways. some of them are poisonous, others aren't. so don't know which one fear against! :) some people eat them, whereas others worship them! :) again, don't know which one to choose!!! :))
