the Capibara
( known here in the UK as the Coypu)
Originates from South America
lives mainly on river banks
A rodent with, typically yellow teeth
grows to the size of a large dog
they are quite harmless and none aggressive .
Capibaras ( Coypu) were
released into the wild ,here in England, (50--60 years ago)
( initially into the Norfolk Broads )
and accidentaly, from , wild life parks and Zoos.
Where it thrived and multiplied, in most UK counties.
because of its habit ,of causing of rivers banks to collapse
and its size and eating habits, ( loves to graze on field crops !)
it is now considered vermin
and are killed by conversationalists and farmers , on sight
