I study endangered birds and we find their nests, monitor them and see how well they are surviving, and will even help the nest along by repairing it if it is falling down and remove eggs of parasitc birds that may lay an egg in their nest. We also do bird surveys and keep count of the population on a yearly basis to see if numbers increase of decrease from year to year.

Do you mean Extinct? They do research, tag, and track animals. Those with lower numbers get put into semi-captivity to breed and care for them and then they release them back into the wild. This keeps most animals around.

They collect a bunch of endangered species, usually more females than males, and put them in safe place where they can "have fun"
