By definition, a heifer is a young cow that has never had a calf. Therefore, you will never ever get any milk from her.

Once a cow has a calf and starts to produce milk, you have to accustom her to the touch an manipulation. It is best to start with the cow in a chute so that she can't hurt you. Then, you just gently go about the business of milking until she is used to it.

Uh, heifers can't be milked as they havn't given birth yet. Once a heifer gives birth she is a cow, not a heifer.
