I don't think mermaids exist as a distinct half-fish half-human hybrid, but I do think a fish with slight humanoid characteristics is possible, especially since you see all these mutations that newborns have with a fish-like tail because their legs are fused together, and such things like that. Even the so called 'mermaid' findings are pretty interesting. These strange creatures that people have caught.

My six year old daughter swears by it! And you can watch AquaMarine to prove it! She even has a mermaid that visits her while she is in the bath tub...

I let her imagination go wild because an imagination is what encourages learning. But I am sure one day she will learn that they exist because of fairy tales and are not real (at least in the form we imagine a mermaid).

yes there are real mermaid in the sea but they are not those girls with fins they are called sea cows found mostly in the south American river cause they resembles like a mermaid when swimming in the deep they look like a seals with a large body but with a tail of a large fish

I doubt there are actual mermaids...but they only found those fishs that can survive in the deepest sea where is is freezing and the pressure is immense and they glow, so who knows whats down there, scares me

Yes - my girl friend is a mermaid - for there is now sweeter fish than her in the sea (and trust me I have been fishing for a while).

no mermaids are just a fantasy of of males, they are supposed to be the perfect female, legend has it that they would woo you in and then rip off your skin, not something to mess with
