I don't think that it's possible for a spider to die from a fall, I imagine that it would either curl up into a ball and bounce, or shoot silk from its a*se and catch on to something. But there must be a height from which it would not be able to survive a fall (assuming there is nothing around to shoot its a*se silk onto). How would this be worked out?

The Big Bang superhot cooled off over billions of years , created unstable elements , that cooled off and came together to form amino acids which became the basis of life .Plausable theory . Now lets roll it . Which amino acid was formed first .Who gave the instruction to do so , in my cell biology i know this is the work of the genes that contain the encoded message to perform any cell function . Therefore it might be right to say a gene was created first by the big Bang cool off and since a gene is enclosed inside the nucleaus as it which we researchers believe and conclude is more complicated that the current evidence . Remember once Professors got red carpert laid in front of them , got invited to expensive dinners simply to give seminars on Amoebas being the most simplest cell the basic cell etc and now!!! it just went pear shaped as science started to overtake their theory an amoeba is now considered a complex thing we know very little about it .can life originate from nonmatter?

Working at a zoo gives you animal contact, but that doesn't pay well relatively, and anyone can get that job. Being a vet makes you money, but what if healing isn't your thing? What are the other alternatives out there?

OH BOY HEAT DENUTURES PROTEINS AND RENDERS THEM MULFUCTION , EXTREME HEAT COOKS THEM BEYOND RECOGNITION AND FUNCTION . SPORE FORMATION IS A LONG TERM ADAPTIVE RESPONSE TO STRESS LEVELS AND CANNOT BE USED TO EXPLAIN HOW PROTEINS/CELLS SURVIVED THE EXPECTED IMMENSE HEAT . BOY ITS LIKE BOMBS THAT FELL IN BAGDAD BUILDING EACH PRODUCING A NEW BUILDING THAT ONLY TAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OF FORCE TO MAKE THEM FALL DOWN .DID THE CELLS MUTATE AT THE EXPECTED BIG BANG OR WHAT . BOY LETS QUESTION THINGS . OVER TO YOU PROFESSOR

Attempts to explain evolution of mankind is always explained using conflicting statements and jargon . Experts and layman refer to primitive cells such as amoeba etc .they continuously modify their expert theories with new research data . now the buzz word is genes , genetic coding , and at present genetic pool .i still cannot get a basic explanation starting from one cell boy .let us start from the parent cell , just like all cells start from one cell in the human body ie sperm cells . where was this one cell . where there two cells sitting side by side by coincidence each just thought i need to develop into a female cell and the other said i will be a male . or were there a pool of different cells some that reproduce by mitosis and others sexually . boy did the big bang with all its heat release of nearly thousands of degrees celsius forget to burn the cell memhbrane that can be cooked at 50 degrees celsius and 300degrees.spores ? do not go there boy .What a speedy adaptive response

Really, i can't kill them. They're starting to infest, and from what i've researched, i think i've got the worst variety: German Cockroaches (gag). I heard catnip is the most affective, but i don't really know that much about borax, and other pesticides..

Please do not use the term organism in your discussion , its a group of cells . start with one cell , primitive as science says , only one cell please , with all its genome intact , from it and it alone because there could not have been two cells , please lets discuss the existance of males and female , how it was possible from one cell , how it was possible to produce such a phynotipic design that complement each other . ie the presence of a Vagina and a penis , sperm and an ova . Please remain primitive do not add unnneccesary jurgon . put foward your theory from the beginning .

ok, ive asked questions about them before, but i need to know something.I have always been terrified of spiders from an early age,but my parents used to get rid of them- then i moved in with my boyfriend, who also hates them. the house we 1st lived in had hardly any spiders as we had no garden. 4 months ago we moved to a house with a garden, we had the occasional big spider in the bath, which i dealt with, and 1 or 2 elswhere. i accepted the occasional spider, as we had a garden, and accepted my fear. However, last tuesday, i had to kill 3 massive floor spiders in 45 mins, and became really disturbed. they ran out from my telly. ever since i was scared to be in my living room in the evening (9pm onwards). partley because the night after there was another, but i went straight to bed-i am in my front room now, have had a bot of wine but havent seen any.does this mean they have peaked and they will get less and less?HELP ineed rassurance.m from u by the way!!

i was always under the impression that snails cannot live without their shells. is it true that snails become slugs if their shells get removed? if not, do they die if their shells get removed?

the lyrics in They Might Be Giants' song 'Snail Shell' prompted this question.
