I hardly believe their stomach is not proper for their consumption. I know they do eat sometimes grass for "medical" reasons, but could they live without meat? What if there's no prey? Would they eat fruits to survive?

I found a picture on the Net while trying to identify a small snake we found in our home. The picture shows a large mass inside the belly of a snake. There are pictures. 2 where you see the bulge and the third shows the open belly with a human body inside. Check it out and tell me it's a real!!!! Have you ever heard or seen such a thing. If yes where? And please No Hollywood Movie references.

Check this site.

I seem to have a new colony of bees moving into a landscaped area along the side of my house. Seems to be an in ground hive along the foundation. Any suggestions on how to deter/discontinue this from continuing without contacting an exterminator.

Why can't we see in the dark like other creatures of the dark do?

I know the reason lies in the special layer found in cats' eyes called tapetum lucidum which acts like mirror.

But, what led to the formation of this layer? Did it come as an adaptation to living in the dark?

Or, were they primarily "designed" to live and hunt in the dark?

If our cavemen ancestors weren't afraid of the dark and the hunting cats; and had they ventured in the dark more often.... Would it have helped us to gain a better "night vision"?

Why must we sleep at nights? I guess, in the earlier times it was because there was a danger of the big cats and wolves... Now what?

I hope you enjoy answering... please do!

(I had to "dumb down" the title of this question due to Answers' character limit. Extremely sorry for that.)

I've searched all the sites but no luck. It is fairly large (almost 1 inch in length, 2 inches with legs spread) and looks similar to a wolf spider. It has three large eyes on top of a raised mound on it's head. I can't really see any other eyes. It has large fangs. The most distinctive features are it's abdomen and the small hairs on it's legs. The abdomen is not hairy but smooth, almost looking like the shell of a beetle. It looks hard and has long closly spaced parallel lines running from front to back. They aren't colored but are a result of a physical pattern of ridges. The thorax and legs are almost like any other wolf spider. But the abdomen is throwing me off. Any ideas? I know spiders quite well by the way. So I am looking for more than "it's a wolf spider". I'd like to get a name or genus/species if possible.
