Well, I'm a zoologist, that is, a scientist that studies animals. This means that I specialized by taking university courses about animal biology, including their anatomy and physiology, their classification, diversity, ecology, behavior, etc.

With respect to your second question, there are literally thousands of online sites focused on career orientation. This link is a pdf file with brief description of health-related careers from the University of Indiana:
http://www.indiana.edu/~udivhpp/pdfs/2005_health_fields_descriptions.pdf

There are several links in this document with more information and the requirements for these careers.

Good luck!

An animal scientist is a specialist in the branch of biology dealing with animals. Jane Goodall is an example of an animal scientist.

Second, this website has a lot of information on careers in the medical field.

I hope I helped.

When I studied Wildlife Science at an agricultural school, the animal science degree was for those studying livestock such as cattle and sheep, their diseases, nutritional needs and the like. So I'd say an animal scientist studies domestic animals, while a zoologist studies all animal life.
