We need to find better ways of testing prouducts, the excuses that the companys give is that a cat or any other kind of animal is very close to what would happen in humans. So instead I think we should test it on humans I mean nothing harmful on humans or animals but like hairspary, pofume and stuff like that yeah use them on humans. Also we need to have stronger laws dealing with people that harm animals instaed of what we got.

Alright, 3 months ago i found a spider i had never seen before, and you all graciously ID'd it for me, and now i have another one i can't ID. i have one picture and i admit it isn't the best picture. It has made a large web across my living room window (about 2 feet wide), and the spider is about an inch long from head to here is the picture. I will be very greatful if you can ID it off this one pic, but if you need more, i could try to get one more.

animals can't possibly teach their young to speak right cos teaching of languages first involve visual aids, then slow mouth reading, it cannot be inculcated without any help of such. so how they learn

The things move so slow, they seem like they should be extinct by this point. If something tried to attack them, would they move fast enough to strike them with those huge claws they have?

Do you think animals will even survive in a humans world without our help? If you think that animals could evolve into something greater (if given enough time to) wouldn't we have a moral responsibility to try and find a way to help them? (ie Genetic altering, or even searching out a new habitable planet to populate with animals to let them follow their own natural paths).

Do you believe that animals (should they survive the test of time) will eventually evolve into highly intelligent beings (like humans)?
Wouldn't they have to in order to survive in the world we have shaped?

OR do you think that eventually humans will evolve (in a natural sense, instead of our current artificial adaptations) to fill the niches and gaps we create by forcing other animals into extinction?

The snake was seen in the woods near Lake Houston in Harris county Texas. This area was formerly river bottom land before the lake was built. It was about two feet long, black and shaped like a mocassin. (body wide in proportion to its head with a body that tapered quickly to its tail) At first I thought it was a cotton mouth water moccasin. It seemed to mimic one, partially coiling and pointing its head upward, mouth agape. It did not have the signature "cotton mouth". When its posturing did not make me leave it began shaking its tail rapidly, mimicking a rattle snake. There were no signs of any rattle. Its underside had a reticulated pattern in yellow.
