I am supposing you are very young.
I was asked this question in grade school(1st or 2nd grade?), and having been interested in living and extinct creatures my entire life, I found the question a bit funny.
There are hundreds of thousands of fossil remains of these creatures found throughout the world. Unless there is a major conspiracy out there, involving billions of dollars to fabricate such animals, they were very real.

By all means. Has you never seen the bones in the museums? And the petrified tracks and eggs?
