Some animals, like primates and dolphins, teach by example. The young watch their parents (mostly mothers) and see how they feed themselves, defend themselves, groom, etc. and mimic. When they do something that gets them less food, puts them at danger, or makes them feel unclean, they learn to follow their parents as they know what's best.

While humans have language, we do a lot of things by example. Sometimes you may find yourself mimicking similar behavior by just watching other people do it. For example, taking a sip of a drink after someone else does.

They learn from example, they dont need to read mouths its irrelevant for an animal like a bird for example. Birds like crows have complex languages, different flocks have different calls even that crows from another flock cannot understand. The reason for this is because young crows learn from example, they see and hear an adult crow make a sound at the approach of a predator and they can easily learn to make the same sound and will learn that the sound means "danger" through the behaviour of all the other crows around. You dont need visual aids and slow mouth reading to learn the meaning of different sounds which is all simple language is... I can tell you right now that you can even teach an animal the meaning of our language my dogs know many words that they were taught by example. Crows can even learn the meanings of different species of birds alarm calls just through association. How do they learn? The same way we do... our parents teach us by example.

Animals teach their young the same way we teach our young, by example. The only reason they would need visual aids is for reading and writing (and I think it's safe to say that's not a concern for animals) or for something really complex. Animals may have language but it's not complex enough to require concsious effort to teach it.

No other animals (besides us) have true languages, or at least, language that is both compositional and possesses arbitrary semantics. But there cases that come kind of close, and how are they learned? Typically a combination of innate and learned; they are innately rigged to be able to quickly learn their "language".
