There would be a lot of snarling and circling and they'd probably both get hurt.

Depends on what was going on, but most likely the badger would actually scare the wolf off. Especially if it was a lone wolf. Badgers are almost as fierce as wolverines and have been know to drive away enemy more than 3 times their size.

First time the badger contacted the wolf, the wolf would run. Another story entirely if was with it's pack, which is how they hunt.
