like,would human sacrifce or baptism work on a spaceship

Yeah won't it be great when there are like colonies, inhabited space stations and maybe alien life in reach and the major religions of the Earth take their pathetic, conquering, closed-minded attitude out to make the galaxy 'a better place'.
Come to think of it, there are probably a few religions which deny the existence of outer space and there would be a bunch of skirmishes about that belief.

Human sacrifice, hardly Only Christians seem to have made it into space thus far. I guess baptism might be a bit difficult with a shortage of water but human sacrifice might be handy if there is an oxygen shortage and not enough for all the astronauts to survive the trip back to earth.

hmm. Not sure human sacrifice is needed to have religion!... (quite sure of the opposite, actually). As for baptism, where it exists, and where it requires water, I guess a bowl of water is enough?
when reading the title I had thought you were wondering about what kind of religions aliens might have...

I would say that religion is where ever you are. It is a belief and where ever you go whether it is outer space or in a subway it is there with you.

Religion exists where ever people exist. Beyond our solar system on the other inhabited planets (there must be some, we can't be the only one) there will be religion.
