they have a breeding center, that has been one of the most successful organizations in the united states, with over 25 baby elephants born there. AND that they have a retirement center with acres of romping land for the elephants when they are no longer able to work. AND they are some of the best mentally stimulated elephants out of any kind of facility because they are always learning new things to do, and keep them busy, instead of becoming neurotic. AND an ankus is actually a guiding tool used like an extention of the arm? Didn't know that? neither does PETA. Nearly all of PETAs pictures and 'current' info is over 30 years old. STAY CURRENT, STAY INFORMED, FOR THE SAKE OF THE ANIMALS, AND THE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR THEM.

I think I saw something on a program...the crocs from Africa- perhaps one species of them- can live in both salt and freshwater. Is that true?

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Remember you need to tell me why.

(I know the answer and have a reason that cannot be denied)

According to Darwin's theory, if an animal has a more beneficial charcteristic, this will survive while other's without this will die and eventually the only charcteristics past on will be the beneficial ones. Obviously, human charcteristics are more beneficial than those of apes so why are there still apes around as well as humans, why did they not all evolve?

Okay - I call them potato bugs, but apparently I'm wrong. What's the proper name for those little grey armadillo-like insects that curl up into balls when you poke them? You can find them just about anywhere in the midwest and northeast of the U.S.A., and I grew up calling them potato bugs and poking them. But I have no idea what they actually are called. My friend calls them "Roly-Polys," if that's any help.
