This is a worthy question that will take effort... I think that Africa is perhaps spelled Affrica, I have always had trouble with double concidences, but then again, Eienstein had a lot of trouble...

I was watching Most extreme mating rituals on Animal Planet, and their is a species of lizard that are all female.

when mating, one female will get on top of the other and act like there having sex. they are not really mating, they are only pretending. then by the power of their mind, the one will get pregnant.

Sorry folks, no pictures. It flew away before I could snap one.
It looked exactly like a Blue Jay, but it was a yellowish color.
Could this have been a young Blue Jay?
Oh, I live in Iowa if that helps any.

I am trying to identify a spider I saw, since I didn't get a photograph I have only the image in my head. I posted a question about it on here, but I am not able to describe it accurately enough for identification... I went through all 200+ pages of spider photos on Bug guide.net and was still unable to find any spider that looks remotely like the one I saw. If anyone knows of a site listing all species in Ontario, preferably with pictures I would be grateful because it is driving me crazy not knowing what kind of spider I saw!!! I really hate not being able to satisfy my curiosity and any suggestions would be appreciated!

I was walking the beach on night and spotted a small green light glowing in the sand. On a closer inspection, there was more than one in the area. They were the size of the end of a needle, and right on the shore line. I really am curious on what these are.

Does anyone know if there are any pictures posted anywhere on the net of the "beast" found dead in Maine this past weekend? I can't imagine not being able to look at it and say, "Well this looks like a _______ to me". I would really like to have a look at it and see for myself what I believe it might be.
