It's hot and muggy in here and I hate opening windows at night. Would you turn the AC on in 50 something degree weather?

Not saying any names, but i know a few good friends that turn off EVERY SINGLE thing in the house, everytime they hear some thunder outside. They freak out about it! Here at my house, if theres a storm, i really dont care. I just grab some chips, a soda, and turn up the volume on the computer listening to Hendrix while i think of something fun to do during the storm! Anyways, for the sake of my friends' paranoia, is there any, ANY way to get hit by lightning when you're inside your house, on your computer or watching TV, while there's a MILD thunderstorm outside. What are the odds of getting hit by lightning while doing that? If you can, please give some examples of how you COULD get hit by lightning inside your house. Please help. THANKS!!!!!

scientists predict the weather for the next 10, 15, 20, even 50 years? So how can they predict that the earth's temperature will rise to the point that all the ice caps will melt and much of the land will be flooded?

On my way to work this morning it was raining pretty bad and a electricity pole burst about 50 feet away from my car. I felt my car vibrate and I hear 3 loud booming sounds and saw a huge blue light with sparks I felt my arm tingle. Now I have a headache, I was a bit nauseous and I just don't feel to good overall. I am at work now and I can function but I feel ugh. My eyes are a bit red too ( But I did cry for a second) Any idea of what happened? I don't know if lightning hit the pole or if it just burst.

Hey, I live in southern California. I have plan to take vacation to travel anywhere that I want to see every day thunderstorms during summertime. I love to see afternoon, evening, and nighttime thunderstorms. I more love to see dusk sunset thunderstorms than any time! Although I don't see every day thunderstorms in around U.S. city. I know Florida is most thunderstorms during summertime. Last year, in Summer I went to Orlando, Florida and I have spent to stay in Kissimmee, FL near World Disney for three weeks although I don't see every day thunderstorms but seldom but I saw very wet rain. I felt to want see every day thunderstorms. Ok, help me you know where has every day thunderstorms give me city/state. If you give me city/state for best summer thunderstorms, I will plan to travel and verify your answer. Possible give you 10 pts. Although I believe in any U.S. city not every day summer thunderstorms.
