I found out that Death Valley reglarly reaches temperatures in the 120s in summer...how can anyone survive in such hot weather? I read that there's a park you can go to, but is this park at the hottest/lowest point in the desert? It seems ridiculous to me that anyone could stay alive in such an extreme climate...

And i dont mean "its lightning duh" i mean in a scientific manner please. I'm just curious as to what is causing that noise. Or if its an exothermic reaction and the noise thunder is just a byproduct. I'd like a scientific answer with a reputable source as well. Thanks.

I once heard that if every day you predict that the weather tomorrow will be pretty much the same as it is today, you will be statistically more accurate than a proper weather forecaster. Is this true? I know it sounds stupid at first, but when you think about it it is feasible, since the weather on two consecutive days will more often be the same than not.

I don't live in areas prone to strong winds but am surprised to hear amazing things that can happen, like a full-grown cow that is lifted into the air and lands in somebody else's garden or vehicles that are rolled some distance away.

Can you share some survival tips on encountering one?

It happened today. The temperature dropped 8ºF and the humidity that sticked to the windows got frozen. Inside, the temperature was like 68, but it still got frozen!

...I wonder if you people can guess where I'm living.
