In the Northern hemisphere, low pressure cells tend to rotate counterclockwise. High pressure cells tend to rotate clockwise.

In the Southern hemisphere, this is reversed.

There are exceptions from time to time.

In the Northern Hemisphere, winds around a Low pressure center spin counter clockwise, INTO the low. Crossing the isobars at angles up to 15 degrees.

High pressure centers in the northern hemisphere are just the opposite, in the northern hemisphere.

Southern hemisphere, winds are clockwise around a low, still crossing the isobars at up to 15 degrees, into the center of the system.

Again, High pressure is the opposite.
