I want to do a photo shoot next to a beach, and I know when the lighting would be ideal, but what about the wind? I don't want my subject to have her hair flying every which way for this particular shoot.

Do tornados only spawn from Super Cell storms? Like, if the weather reports say I'm getting "isolated or scattered T-storms" or doesn't say anything about "severe" storms, it can't happen?

Just get nervous sometimes whenever there is T-storms here(live on long island, NY). ppl always telling me there's nothing to be afraid of cause they've never seen nor heard of one here(and neither have I). But, I still get so afraid.

How is it that, within minutes of heavy downpour, rivers can flood streets with 3-4 feet of water? It just doesn't seem like _that_ much comes down in so short a time, not to mention the water is spread out over a couple miles at least.

Shouldn't there be a correlation between the amount of daylight and temperature? For instance, wouldn't one expect the longest day of the year to be the warmest, and the shortest day of the year the coldest?

The National Weather Service just issued a Tornado Watch for my area. I know what to do in tornadoes, all the safety advice i Could know, I know . But even knowing all this, I just moved to VA, a year ago, and have never been in a tornado. And I am 12, and I am really scared of them. Anyone have any advice to overcome my fears?? And anyone that has ever been in a tornado, like the tornado actually hit where they were, have any stories on what it was like??? I would really appreciate it so if a warning goes out I can be less afraid of what might happen. Thank you so much!
