I want to do a photo shoot next to a beach, and I know when the lighting would be ideal, but what about the wind? I don't want my subject to have her hair flying every which way for this particular shoot.

When the daily land breeze - sea breeze interaction switches over and you have relatively calm air for a short while. That usually occurs in late morning/early afternoon and then again overnight.

The only problem is lighting -- the sun is already too high in the sky for decent shadows during late morning, and there's none at night!!!
