Pollution is starting to become a topic that concerns quite some people...as far as i'm informed because of pollution the globe is having much greater effects like the greenhouse effect....(when carbon dioxide isn't released and is trapped in Earth)...now we are experiencing major temperature changes...and according to meteorologists this might just get worse...they predict that the hurricane season will be affecting us more, and might even be more catastrophic than these previous years...i also found out through some research that other meteorologists expect there two be a third ice age leading Florida to reduce at about 50% of it's size....(plz correct me if i am mistaken at anythng)...what do you guys believe out of all of this? What do you think awaits us?

I, like most poeple, am interested in finding out about global warming but I am finding it hard to make sense of the arguments for and against.

Can anyone please tell me where to find purely scientific arguments for and against the phenominum written for the layman.

Firstly, I would be interested in learning if the climate is really changing (without specific refernce to causes). Secondly, I would like to know about man's supposed impact on global warming.

I understand this is an contreversial emensly complex area but I am really just looking for undisputed evindence to use to form my own opion, other than "it snowed last winter, but not this winter".

Many thanks.

I live in Florida and want to know if this hurricane season will be as bad as it is predicted to be. Last years prediction was way off and I also would like to know where all the Hurricanes have gone.

Its gone from really cold to really warm! What happened to the wonderful UK spring season? I was really looking forward to it and instead its like bleeding August. Don't get me wrong, I like summer, but in the months its supposed to be in! If I wanted year round sunshine, I would have moved to San Diego...

Summers coming and tonight the years first thunderstorms are predicted to hit my county(Kent, UK). I am petrified of thunderstorms, have been since i was born(i'm 18 btw). Well i'm watching the rainfall radar on the Met Office websites as the storms leave France northwards towards Kent and i'm getting very nervous, not only will the storms arrive during the night, but i'm all alone. What can I do to try and make it through the storms? i was thinking of leaving all lights on, close all doors and curtains, turn music right up and talk to people on MSN to take my mind of it. If worse comes to the worse i'll put my fingers in my ears and hide with my head burried under my pillow, not a good way to live at 18 esp as i'm starting a job soon which involves being outside a lot(Direct Sales Marketing). Any ideas? thanks everyone :)

Even when the weather is so fair and just the humidity is a bit raised by rain or something, and specially when it is freezing in the winter, the car windows getting covered by steam. Some say that one of the windows shall be a little bit opened or the car heater shall operate to get rid of this thing, I want to know scientifically why?
