Does anyone else think "Green" homes will go the way of fallout shelters when the Earth begins to cool.

There's nothing to suggest the world will cool other than through natural cycles and best indicators are that this is a long, long time off yet. Certainly many thousands of years before any noticable cooling and likely to be 10 to 30 million years before the onset of another ice age.
On the other hand there is overwhelming evidence that the earth will continue warming. Even if there were no humans the planet is in a natural warming phase and has been for 18,000 years - since the onset of the last glacial retreat.
