I'm considering changing my major to Meteorology (what I've always wanted to do) but am very hesitant because of the high level of math and physics involved...if I have a history of struggling in math (the lower levels like Trig and Pre-Calc), should I not even consider Meteorology?

Also, if anyone knows, I've heard that women who want to have a family shouldnt go into Meteorology because of the shifts/hours of the job....any women in Meteorology have any comments on that?

My dad and I are arguing about this: a man from Miami was killed by dry lightning. Even though the sky above him was clear, there was a storm near by, or around the area. Is that correct? That is my arguement. and my fathers is that it is just out of the blue and there was not a storm near by. Who is correct?

Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.

Do you know how his Dad made money. Oil/GAS.

Do you send your money to him like a fool=carbon credits.

I just thought of this kind of randomly but,

If your on a plane and its raining, and your already in the sky, way up in the clouds, would you see the rain going down, or would you still see it in the clouds and see it hitting the plane? My brother said it would look like it was going up but im not sure. If you know the answer thats great : ] good luck!
