I'm considering changing my major to Meteorology (what I've always wanted to do) but am very hesitant because of the high level of math and physics involved...if I have a history of struggling in math (the lower levels like Trig and Pre-Calc), should I not even consider Meteorology?

Also, if anyone knows, I've heard that women who want to have a family shouldnt go into Meteorology because of the shifts/hours of the job....any women in Meteorology have any comments on that?

Meteorology is math and physics intensive, but if you work hard at it you could probably get through the coursework. Alternatively, there are places where you could major in "broadcast meteorology," which would not require coursework that was as difficult. Meteorology does tend to be shift work, but I think you do have some choice in the matter and the late shifts can pay more.
