30% no - not really. In parts of the country, there is a 30% chance of a thunderstorm nearly daily.

The good news for you is the word isolated. The National Weather Service forecasters will forecast "isolated" thunderstorms when they are pretty certain that storms are going to form, but we only expect them to affect about 10% of the area. In other words, 90% of the area won't get wet. Thats good news, because even if the sotrms effect you, the storms will move through rather quickly.

It depends on whether you are at the right place. A 30 % chance means that the chance of one place receiving more than 0.01 inches of rain is 30%. Isolated storms are single cloud cells that do not form a line with other cells.

Usually, even if you do get a storm, the length of time it will effect activities won't be too long, so you can take a break and get some food, do some shopping, or take in a show. Have fun
(I own six flags stock).

isolated storms mean 30% chance of a storm scattered storms mean 40% or greater you should definitely go. It doesn't rain all day in Florida. A passing storm and it's all over in 10 minutes Most likely it won't rain at all, especially if it says "isolated". Don't be nervous. Even if it does rain for a while, there is so much to do indoors at each of the parks so not to worry. You will not be seeing a soaking all day rain like other parts of the country. This is the tropics. A passing storm and the sun comes out for the rest of the day. Bottom line----GO for it

no 30% is not a lot. 100% is the biggest so 30 is a pretty small percentage. Isolated means that it will be everywhere over the city and scattered means that it could rain at your house but the next street over it may not rain

An isolated thunderstorm is one that occurs alongside with very few others. You can use the total totals index to help determine your risk for thunderstorms.
