Rain plays a role in the hydrologic cycle in which moisture from the oceans evaporates, condenses into bubbles, precipitates up to the sky, and eventually returns to the air via sun light and rivers to repeat the cycle again. The water vapor that respires from plants, evaporates to join other water molecules in condensing into bubbles.

Rain is sampled by two categories, namely, amount of precipitation and reason for precipitation

When classified according to amount of precipitation, rain can be divided into:[1]

very light rain — when the amount of precipitation is < 1 mm/hour
light rain — when the amount of precipitation is between 1 mm/hour - 2 mm/hour
moderate rain — when the amount of precipitation is between 2 mm/hour - 5 mm/hour
heavy rain — when the amount of precipitation is between 5 mm/hour - 10 mm/hour
very heavy rain — when the amount of precipitation is 10 mm/hour - 20 mm/hour
extreme rain — when the amount of precipitation is > 20 mm/hour
Based on the reason for precipitation, rain is classified into:

Orographic Rain
Convective Rain
Frontal / Cyclonic Rain

Well there are the drizzles.. where you can barely feel it / see it but it totally messes your hair up

And then the sideways rain which is annoying as hell because it just aims right for your face

And then there is the shower..... which is pretty self explanitory

And thennnn there is a torrential downpour which i LOVE.
