It hasn't rained much since the winter months. Is this due to Global Warming ?

Why don't you ask all the people in southern American and the United Kingdom for some of their flood waters?

Weather patterns change. Droughts happen. Floods happen. Its not necessarily due to climate change but it can be.

Global warming is just a political scare tactic by the government to keep all the sheep in line. In the mid seventies, the same group of nut scientists were saying we had global cooling. (Now the same nuts say it was caused by hairspray.) Predicting long range weather has about the same odds as winning the lottery. You think Katrina was bad? How about the twenties when the Mississippi River flooded, just a small amount of a tidal wave, only around 3 feet high, but no force on earth could stop it from killing and destroying. The dead was a hundred times that of Katrina.

It's always a bit amusing to me to read the people rail on here about how there is no global warming. But.....the weather and climate are doing exactly what the models predicted. I read an article in 1982 in Scientific American about what changes in climate global warming would bring. Some areas were predicted to be wetter, other areas are predicted to be hotter and drier (like Ohio). The article, even though 25 years old, was dead-on accurate. It took me 20 years to accumulate enough evidence to accept global warming, but the mountain of evidence is just undeniable at this point. Your hot, dry weather is a result of global warming as is Katrina and Texas' recent flooding. Stay tuned, more to come.
