It happened today. The temperature dropped 8ºF and the humidity that sticked to the windows got frozen. Inside, the temperature was like 68, but it still got frozen!

...I wonder if you people can guess where I'm living.

I would imagine it to be the top of Mt Washington or in Tierra del Fuego or some other terrible location that features remoteness and bad weather for the winter.

I am thankful I live elsewhere where the temperature goes down to 70's at night and up to 80's in daytime during this part of summer.

If I lived at a place like that I would invest in storm windows to keep cold air away just as fast as I could.

I assume you are living south of the equator. Frost or ice on the inside of a window means that the window is not properly insullated. You are losing a lot of heat through those windows. It's time to replace them. The reason that it happens is because the temperature on the window is below freezing and there is condensation on the window.

Where I live in Alberta, Canada this is not that uncommon, especially if your windows aren't sealed properly. My neighbours window does it every winter when the temperature gets really cold, -40C (-40 F as well).

I guessing you live somewhere in northern Europe, but that's just a guess.
