The chalk bed streams of Hertfordshire and all the wildlife that depends on them is probably doing very well this year. I know that last year the levels were very low and they were becoming too choked up with weeds (the flow rate was too slow and so they were nearly stagnant). It's a very rare habitat.

Also, all our reservoirs will be full to the brim now which gives the water companies a bit more time to stop all the leaks before they dry up.

All the leaves on the ground have floated away!!! so I don't have to hire anyone to rake them and put them in bags cuz there were like billions and yeah. That would've been a pain.

No one cares that I haven't been able to mow my lawn because no one can. It's too wet, so I don't get any criticism! YAY!

I don't have to water and my grass is ultra-green!!!

No water restrictions and our rivers and lakes are overflowing FOR ONCE! I'm in North Texas.

There are less people going places, so it's easier to go to the grocery store, etc. I can ride my bike on the street! :P

Gardening-related mainly - no need to water anything and even my solid clay has softened up so hoiking out weeds and planting out young plants is easier. There's enough sun in between downpours to keep it warm and ripen fruit. Cars don't need washing either. My water butt is full. On the other hand, keeping up with the laundry is dreadful, I can't paint the garden fence and can't let the children play in the garden much (because of the soft wet muddy clay and the difficulties in keeping up to date with the laundry...).

It might help to say where you live. Here in Southern California we just finished the driest rain year (July 1 to June 30) on record.

I don't have to water my hanging baskets or window box!
Don't have to top up the bird bath.
Don't have to clean the windows - no point!
Don't have to cut the grass - it's too wet!
Racking brains but can't think of anything else - feel too depressed because of all the rain!!

The grass and the foliage is all such a lovely green colour and I don't have to water the new grass or wash the car.

Well, I am saving money on my water bill by not having to water my grass and on my electric bill because it is not as hot. Any since our lakes are full my comunity as a whole will benefit by not having to be on water retrictions this summer. (central texas.)
