In a word, yes. All projections show world weather becoming more unstable, with broader swings and greater extremes. We'll see longer droughts, more fires, more frequent and larger hurricanes, unstable monsoons, and yes, more torrential rains. Hope you get a break soon.

My God!!! The pine needles must be gathering in the cobbled streets!!!!!!

I think torrential rain is going to be a sort of permanent fixture...At least, if the last 65 million years is anything to go by!

Unless the 'Boffins' at the 'Met' can come up with something...we may have to grit our teeth...gird our loins...and jut the chin for a while yet.

Be British old boy...Chin up!

Looks like you might need to get used to it for a while.
When a system stalls like that it seems the end will never
come Mount hooks in the celling so they won't pull out and
hoist up things like beads and couches if your house is apt
to flood. Stoves and refrigerators can be hosed out with a
strong stream. Allow them to dry out real good. Don't forget
to unplug everything if it looks like the water is going to
come in. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
