You need to distract yourself somehow? Do you have any good books or a movie you could watch? Try putting on some calming music? Or maybe some loud music you could dance to...
Did you know that the majority of lightning goes from one cloud to another, not down to earth!

Its been thundering and lightning here for a couple of hours now,, Close the curtains and put your iPod on loud. Some chocolate might help too!!

Positive charged ions create lightning; the charging of which creates a vacum; when the air rushes back into the vacum we hear it as thunder.
Mighty fearsome at times, but really nothing to be afraid of.

Ok, here goes - raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,bright paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favourite things (so I might have improvised on some of the words)
